Prezentace České republiky v Domě mládeže v Uulu / Ettekande Tšehhi Vabariigist Uulu Noortekeskuses / Presentation of the Czech Republic in the Youth Center in Uulu

Na pondělí 25. března jsme si s Janem připravili prezentaci o České republice pro děti v Centru mládeže v Uulu, kde pracuje francouzský dobrovolník Cedric. Uulu leží asi 20 minut autobusem od Pärnu ve směru na Rigu. Měla to být zkouška prezentace na „Český den“ v Nooruse Maja, který se koná příští sobotu 20. dubna. 

Tušila jsem, že děti nebudou vědět moc informací o České republice, ale myslela jsem si, že budou znát alespoň některé české fotbalisty a hokejisty. Ale ne. Důvodem asi bude, že Estonsko nemá žádný dobrý fotbalový a hokejový tým. Jen když jsem jim ukázala obrázek Petra Čecha s jeho specialní čepicí, tak ho znali. Potom jsme jim ukázali  krátká videa o České republice a já jsem měla ještě připravené dvě hry pro děti.

Esmaspäeval 25. märts koos Janiga tegime ettekande Tšehhi Vabariigist lastele Uulu Noortekeskuses, kus töötab prantsuse vabatahtlike Cedric. Uulu asub umbes 20-minutilise bussisõidu kaugusel Pärnust Riia suunas. See oli proovi esitlus Tšehhi päevale Nooruse Majas, mis toimub järgmisel laupäeval 20. aprillil.

Ma teadsin, et lapsed ei tea palju informatsiooni Tšehhi Vabariigist, aga ma mõtlesin, et nad teavad vähemalt tšehhi jalgpall ja hoki mängijad. Aga nad ei teadnud. Võimalik põhjus on, et Eestil ei ole tugevat jalgpalli ja jäähoki meeskonda. Aga kui ma näitasin neile pilte Petr Čech oma spetsiaalse mütsiga, nii nad teadsid. Siis me näitasime neile lühivideosid Tšehhi Vabariigist ja ma tegin kaks mängu lastele.

On Monday 25th March I with Jan prepared a presentation  about the Czech Republic for children at the Youth Center in Uulu, where French volunteer Cedric is working. Uulu is about 20 minutes by bus from Pärnu in the direction of Riga. It was supposed to be a test presentation for the Czech day in the  Nooruse Maja, which will take place next Saturday the 20th April.

I knew that the children will not know much about the Czech Republic, but I thought that they would at least know some Czech footballers and hockey players. But no. The reason probably is that Estonia has no great football and hockey team. Only when I showed them pictures of Petr Čech with his special cap, so they knew. Then we showed them a short video about the Czech Republic and I had prepared two games for kids.

Protože zbývala jen krátka doba než bude Cedric končit v práci, tak jsme tam zůstali. Cedric a Jan šli hrát počítačové hry, což mě uplně nelákalo, na počítačových hrách jsem nevyrostla. Nakonec jsem hrála AIR-hockey s dětmi. Musela jsem najít název té hry na internetu, netušila jsem,  jak se jí říká.

Estlus oli ainult lühikest aega ja me ootasime kuni Cedric lõpetab töö. Cedric ja Jan mängisid arvutimänge, mis ei meelitanud mind, ma ei ole  üles kasvanud arvutimängudega. Lõpuks mängisin lauahokit lastega. Ma pidin leidma mängu nime internetist, sest ma ei teadnud täpset nime.

Because there remained only a short time than Cedric finish in his work, so we stayed. Cedric and Jan went to play computer games, I didn´t interest about it, I didn´t grow up on computer games. Finally I played air-hockey with children.  I had to find the name of the game on the internet, I had no idea what is its name.

Ve stejný den si Estonsko připomínalo den, kdy byly tisíce Estonců poslány do ruských gulagů na příkaz Stalina. V každém větším městě lidé rozsvěcují svíčky na náměstích jako vzpomínku na tento den.

Samal päeval eestlased mälestasid  päeva, millal tuhanded eestlased saadeti  Stalini käsul Vene gulagi. Igas linnas inimesed põlevad mälestusküünlaid väljakul sel päeval.

That same day Estonia is reminding day, which were thousands of Estonians were sent into the Russian gulag on Stalin's orders. In every city people lit candles for memory on this day on main squares.
